This 6-axis CNC dressing machine has been designed for dressing and truing diamond and CBN wheels as well as conventional abrasive wheels used generally for the cutting tool industry. An automatic wheel wear monitoring system is included, and the machine can automatically dress wheel packs fully unattended.
- Conventional abrasive wheels (silicon carbide or aluminum oxide) are generally used for dressing, with the option of using a diamond roll for specific applications.
- Both bonded diamond and bonded CBN wheels can be dressed on this machine including vitrified, polyamide, metal bonds and others, as well as special applications such as CVD rolls and other impregnated wheel types.
